Sometimes I wonder if it's a good idea to meet your idols... (Then I had the pleasure of meeting Seal this summer past)

I've obviously been a long time fan of Seal and to discover that the feeling was mutual was sort of like a dream manifesting itself. I covered "Crazy" on my last record (Bloom) and happen to think "Kiss From A Rose" is one of greatest songs ever written... We talked for a good while about life, the music industry, influences and songwriting. His wise words gave me a loving and renewed sense of musical and artistic self that I've really carried forward. Plus, his awesome recs sent me down several incredibly satisfying musical rabbit holes, David Bowie, Stone Temple Pilots, Depeche Mode and more. 

Basically, big ups Seal! I'm so pleased to be your album of 2025!
